ผมอยากรู้ /pǒm yàak rúu/ to kno
I know that you want to learn how to say and use the word, ‘Know’ in Thai Language!
Hello everyone long time no see! How have you been doing?
In this lesson, we will learn how to use the word “รู้ /rúu/” and “รู้จัก /rúu-jàk/”.
Unlike English where there is one word, ‘know’ in Thai, there are two words which have slightly different meanings. ‘Know’ in the Thai language can be “รู้ /rúu/” or “รู้จัก /rúu-jàk/” in English this is combined into the single word.
The word “รู้ /rúu/” is “to know” in the sense of knowledge or knowing information. The word “รู้จัก /rúu-jàk/” is “to know” in the sense of knowing someone or someplace. These words are not interchangeable. You must use the right word for the right meaning or you will not be understood.

= I would like you to know my close friend.
