Useful Flood Phrases
Hi everyone, today I have some phrases about flooding. Thailand is prone to flooding in 2011 there were major floods up and down the country affecting Bangkok as well. The picture opposite shows the main road by the Don Muang Airport. In places, this road was over a meter and a half deep in water.
I hope you do not get caught up in any floods.
1. ที่บ้านของคุณน้ำท่วมไหม
/tîi bâan kɔ̆ɔng-kun náam tûam mái/
Has your house flooded?
2. ครอบครัวของคุณเป็นยังไงบ้าง
/krכ̂כp-krua kɔ̆ɔng-kun bpen yang ngai bâang/
How is your family?
3. มีอะไรให้ช่วยไหม
/mii à-rai hâi chûai mái/;
Do you need any help?
4. ตอนนี้คุณพักอยู่ที่ไหน
/dtככn-níi kun pák tîi nǎi/
Where are you staying?
5. คุณมีอาหารและน้ำพอไหม
/kun mii aa-hǎan lɛ́ náam pככ mái/
Do you have enough food and water?
