How to talk about Brothers Thai Family Brothers and Sisters

and Sisters in Thai

Sàwàt dii kâ,

In this blog we will learn to say, Brothers and Sisters in the Thai language is  พี่น้อง | pîi-náwng (brothers and sisters) literally means older siblings- younger siblings and makes no reference to gender at all. You may hear someone referring to a member of their family as  พี่  pîi and you will not know whether it is an older brother or older sister. When it is necessary to be specific, the word chai (male) or săao ( female )  is added after  พี่ pîi or  น้อง náwng.
