There has been a lot of news in the last few years about meteorites in our solar system and some maybe heading our way.

Vocabulary

Today we will learn vocabulary “out of the world” about space.

อวกาศ /à-wá-gàat/= space

ยานอวกาศ  /yaan à-wá-gàat/ = spacecraft

โลก /lôok/ = world, earth

ดาวเคราะห์ /daao-krɔ́ /= planet

อุกกาบาต /ùk-gaa-bàat/= meteorite

ดาวหาง /daao-hǎang / = comet

พระจันทร์ / prá-jan / Moon

พระอาทิตย์ / prá-aa-tít / Sun

กลุ่มดาว / glum daao / constellation

ดาวฤกษ์/ daao lə̂ək / fixed star

ดาวอังคาร / daaoang-kaan / Mars

ดาวพุธ / daao pút / Mercury

ดาวพฤหัส /daao pá-rʉ́-hàt / Jupiter

ดาวศุกร์ / daao sùk / Venus

ดาวเสาร์ / daao sǎo / Saturn

ดาวพลูโต / daao pluu dtoo / Pluto

จรวด / jà-rùat / Rocket
