Months of the Year | เดือน duan

In this lesson, we will talk about the Months of the Year in Thai. Thai months end with different suffixes that indicate the number of days in the month.

Thai months that end in the suffix คม/kom/ have 31 days. Months that end in 30 days end in the suffix ยน/yon/, and months that have 28-29 days end in suffix พันธ์/phan/.

In colloquial use, the suffixes are often omitted but we normally say the word เดือน/duan/ to be as a prefix instead.
