In this blog, we will learn some Thai vocabulary about food flavor or taste. Talking about food in Thailand is a national past-time. You cannot go one day without hearing about food and where to buy it here in Thailand so you will hear these words about Tastes and Flavor a lot. In the Thai language, we call flavour of taste, รสชาติ rót châat
Here are some common descriptions to describe different food flavours:
Vocabulary
1.หวาน / wăan / sweet
2.เค็ม / kem / salty
3.เปรี้ยว / prîao / sour
4.ขม / kŏm / bitter
5.เผ็ด / pèt / spicy
6.จืด / jeùt / tasteless
