Sure or Not Sure in Thai | แน่ใจ/ไม่แน่ใจ
Sawat dii kâ, in this blog we are going to learn Thai online lesson about how to say “ SURE” and “NOT SURE” in Thai. There are three ways to say “ sure”, “surely”, or “ definitely”.
nɛɛ-jai/ nɛɛ -nɔɔn / nɛɛ- nɛɛ – These words are translated as “sure ”, “ certain” or “ for sure ”
1. Song-kran bpii-níi chán ja bpai Chiang Mai tɔɔng sá-nùk nɛɛ nɛɛ .
สงกรานต์ปีนี้ฉันจะไปเชียงใหม่ ต้องสนุกแน่ๆ
Songkran this year I will go to Chiangmai, it must be fun for sure.
2. wanníi káo maa sǎai nɛɛ-nɔɔn prɔ́-wâa rót dtìt.
วันนี้เขามาสายแน่นอนเพราะว่ารถติด
Today he comes late for sure because traffic is terrible.
NOT SURE = mâi nɛɛ / mâi nɛɛ-jai
As you already know how to say ” SURE” in Thai and now we are going to learn how to say “ NOT SURE” in Thai- “mâi nɛɛ/ mâi nɛɛ-jai ”
1.pǒm àat- jà maa ìik tɛ̀ɛ yang mâi nɛ̀ɛ-jai.
ผมอาจจะมาอีก แต่ยังไม่แน่ใจ
I might come again, but I’m not sure (yet)
2.Joe mâi nɛɛ jai wâa Jane bpen pûu-yǐng rúu pûu-chaai
โจ ไม่แน่ใจว่าเจนเป็นผู้หญิงหรือผู้ชาย
Joe is not sure if Jane is a woman or a man.
