Thai Vocabulary | Regions ภาค

How did you like our last Thai language blog?
In our Thai language lesson today, we will learn some Thai vocabulary about the regions in Thailand. Thailand is divided into four regions (ภาค), each of which has its own distinct dialect and traditional Thai Culture. We recommend you travel to each of these regions to understand the key differences and enjoy them – each region has wonderful local food specialities and interesting geographic features in addition to language dialects which when strong can be a real challenge to understand 🙂
ภาคเหนือ /pâak nʉ̌a/ – the North
ภาคกลาง /pâak glaang/ – the Central Region
ภาคใต้ /pâak dtâi/ – the South
ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ (ภาคอีสาน) /pâak dtà-wan-ɔ̀ɔk chǐang nʉ̌a (pâak ii-sǎan)/ – the Northeast
So now you can talk about your travels and will understand a little about the Thai cultural and geographic regions. Go travel Thailand and enjoy.
